Change to traffic light sequence causing long tailbacks outbound on Wells Road
Reported in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 15:44, Thursday 29 August 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 1 minute later
Junction of Wells Road with Airport Road/Wootton Park. The traffic light sequence has been changed to only allow about 6 vehicles from each lane through when the lights are green for outbound traffic on Wells Road. This causes very long tailbacks of stationary traffic at peak times. This was not the case before the sequence was changed about 6 weeks ago.
Our Urban Traffic Management Control (UTMC) team are looking into this. There has been no changes to the staging but the timing seem to have been operating strangely so they are investigating. We'll let you know more when we have diagnosed the source of this.

State changed to: Fixed
