New suggestion- dangerous blind crossing on corner Crews Hole Rd
Reported in the Obstruction category anonymously at 10:23, Sat 31 August 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1750701.
Hi someone has reported this problem before suggesting a pedestrian crossing and the council said that due to funding it was not possible. But it really is dangerous and I think someone is going to die one day, I’m not exaggerating! So what about a mirror looking down the road so us pedestrians can see if a car is coming round that very blind bend on a very narrow road where they do come hurtling round. Just a suggestion! Thanks :)

I'm appalled that this was raised a year ago and nothing has been done about it. The crossing is EXTREMELY dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists crossing to the river path as it's a blind corner. Bristol City Council MUST do something about this soon before someone is killed. I have been close to being hit before and have now resolved to not cross at the end of the road but to walk along the road (with no pavement) and take my chances with the speeding cars coming up behind me. It's simply not good enough. In addition: - the pavement along this stretch of road is narrow and obstructed by vegetation - vehicles regularly exceed the speed limit - there is no street lighting
