Intrusive Replacement light, Egerton Lane. 6 Dulverton road

Reported in the Street Light category anonymously at 15:18, Monday 9 September 2019

Sent to Bristol City Council 4 minutes later

6 Dulverton road backing onto Egerton lane. The light on Egerton Lane has recently been replaced with something brighter white and with a wider spread. It is angled in such a way that our garden is completely illuminated and spot lit so we can no longer use the garden in the evening. We used to enjoy sitting out in the evening but this is now unpleasant and lacks privacy. We have had an increase in late night noise as the very bright light has encouraged people to use the lane more rather than use the proper footpath around the front of the block. We would be grateful if the light could be hooded so it is contained to the pathway or replaced by something more appropriate to a very narrow alley. This has been an issue for a couple of weeks. I was thought I would get used to it but this is not the case. Its like having a security light permanently on.
