Request for double yellow lines in front of parking bay on Goulter Street
Reported in the General Highways Enquiry category anonymously at 22:27, Wed 11 September 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1764636.
On Goulter Street there is a parking bay as is shown in the attached photo. A reoccurring issue here is that some motorists park their cars on the pavement in front of this parking bay, not only boxing-in the vehicles that use the parking bay, but also creating a bottle-neck both for pedestrians who try to use this pavement (most unfriendly to wheelchair users and parents with pushchairs), and also creating a bottle-neck for vehicles driving up and down Goulter Street. So I request that double yellow lines are painted on the road in front of this parking bay which, again as the attached photo shows there is currently a lack of, to prevent vehicles from parking-up on the pavement here boxing-in residents who use this parking bay, and the associated issues previously mentioned prior. This issue also gets especially worse during school pick-up hours.

Here is an example captured today of vehicles that use the parking bay being boxed-in by another vehicle parking on the pavement due to the lack of double yellows to prevent such action.
