I reported a week ago that the street light at the top of Hermitage Wood Road, immediately prior to the junction with Danby Street was not working. I have today watched a worker attend the wrong street lamp and tick the box to say ‘fixed’. Unfortunately the worker did not attempt to repair the broken street light, even though they looked at and shrugged towards the broken street light, because there was a car parked in front of it. Instead choosing to go up to a working street light further down Hermitage Wood Road, put the cap on to confirm it lit, and then coming back down and driving off? Please chase up with the contractor, recommending that they attempt to fix the broken street lamp, and please action the repair ASAP. This road is just before the Romney House bus gate, which is frequently used for illegal traffic, and without a working street light as a deterrent, concerns over who may be attracted to commit crimes have been raised. Thank you
