Slippery surface
Reported in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 17:38, Wed 25 September 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1780182.
Just before the traffic lights coming from windmill hill towards east street. I have come off my bike in the same spot both today and yesterday. Today I also witnessed a lady who had fallen off her bike in the same place and was hurt and waiting for her husband to pick her up. Not sure why the surface is slippery may be just leaves but if it could be cleaned or a warning sign put up this would prevent further accidents

On the south side of Malago Road by the traffic light controlled pedestrian crossing next to the Hereford Street Car Park opposite Stafford Street the cycle lane leading to the crossing is very slippery (google map location 51.440487, -2.596263)
I fell off my bike this morning with my son in a child carrier on the back when braking for the crossing. I saw a similar incident a couple of weeks ago, probably that reported here)
The paving slabs distinguishing the cycle lane form the footpath are incredibly slippery and are at the point where any bike approaching the crossing will be braking and can very easily skid. As a minimum the path needs cleaning but due to the tree cover and lack of sunlight this area is prone to being damp I would suggest an anti- skid surface is installed at this location.
