Manhole Cover & Frame exposed

Road surfacing around the manhole has broken away completely exposing the frame for the cover. Urgent attention is required.

  • Failed manhole frame and cover. The ironwork have been rocked loose by heavy lorries. The frame and cover is bouncing and causing more damage to the chamber brickwork. this is on the approach to the in gate to the docks. There is also a failed frame and cover on the opposite side of the road near the rail crossing.

  • Please can the necessary repair work be undertaken asap, this is the main access to a nationally important strategic asset. Please advise when the work will be undertaken
