Cycle track along Coronation Road in bad disrepair
Reported in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 16:10, Sun 13 October 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1803161.
The cycle track that runs the length of Coronation Road from the Coronation Road Curry House to Wapping Wharf Bridge is in a bad state of disrepair. By this I mean extensive cracks, bumps, and potholes in the tarmac surface, and uneven ground underneath. As a result of this if I use the cycle path, it causes unnecessary damage to my bicycle (e.g. the tensioning of the spokes of the wheels) as a result of repeatedly going over these faults. If I choose to minimise the damage to my bike by opting to go on the road instead, I receive anger and abuse from motorists who don't comprehend why I am using the road. As I'm sure you can understand, neither of these options are good, and this is not an acceptable situation. I speak for the community of cyclists in the area that I have reached out to who use (or not) this cycle path, when I call for the resurfacing of this path. I look forward to hearing as to when and how this situation can be rectified.
