Vehicles on cycle path, thick mud and overgrown bushes
Reported in the Obstruction category anonymously at 12:56, Mon 14 October 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1804191.
Route 41 cycle path, as you enter the path at the corner of Severn road and Chittening road, there is a large hole where a bollard has been removed for vehicle access. The vehicles have driven up the cycle path to a site where work is being carried out. The path is covered with thick mud, making it very slippy and unsuitable for cyclists. The vehicles are parked on the path, completly blocking it, forcing cyclists to dismount and pedestrians to walk through the marshes to get by, meaning they are ankle deep in mud. There are thorny brambles over hanging along the entire length of the path, up to the nature reserve.

I cycled this this afternoon (6/11/19) and in its current state of the path is actually dangerous. There is thick mud over much of the length with wet leaves on top. There is a narrow track down some of the middle that is less muddy, but if two cyclists met around a blind bend, a nasty accident would result.
