Overgrown tree

Reported via iOS in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 13:46, Tue 15 October 2019

Sent to Bristol City Council 4 minutes later

The council used to prune these trees each year but it has not been done for at least 2 years and then only lightly. It now overhangs my roof causing blocking of the valley gutter and drainpipe with consequent damage to my property. I also have good reason to believe the increased water demand is causing ground movement. A significant crack has appeared in render that was done only 2 years ago and where no crack had been seen in the 17 years before that. Please can the council 1. Arrange to prune the trees properly and 2. Assess the risk to property

  • No communication from the council despite the obvious obstruction of pavement and implications for street security.

  • Still no response from BCC. Given the obvious street safety concerns in this area, I find the complete lack of response appalling - especially since I see BCC vans passing every single day!
