Rocky Pavement
Reported in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 09:39, Tue 22 October 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1814382.
Whilst staying in Bristol for the weekend, I came out of the Marriot City Hotel and turned right towards the shopping centre (Cabot Circus). The paving slabs are ‘rocking’ in places. Unfortunately for me I fell quite heavily on these - bashing my left hand and chin on the ground! I am now left with a painful bruised hand. I feel this needs URGENT attention before someone else is injured! (the road is Lower Castle Street - between Broadmead car park and castlemead building).

Update - No attempts to resolve the issue have yet been made. Pavement is still in a very poor condition with sunk and rocking paving slabs.

Here's a typical sight - the the left is the 24 hr bus lane. Note the double yellow lines. Note the 'no loading' markings on the curb. Note how the Royal Mail van has not noted these things, or has, and has decided that the pavement doesn't count. Note how pedestrians are having to squeeze past (on this occasion they can squeeze past - when its lorries parked like this you've got no chance). I would have posted a picture of the dangerous rocking slabs, but there was a van parked on them at the time. On the pavement. Meant for pedestrians. Not vans. PLEASE fix the slabs, and put up some bollards or other protection for pedestrians and the pavement.
