Dangerous out of date road sign.
Reported in the Road Signage category anonymously at 13:57, Sun 3 November 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1829724.
This danger to life and limb has been reported repeatedly for nearly two years, and I cannot believe the council hasn’t dealt with it. It is being criminally negligent. To repeat, the layout of the roundabout has changed requiring traffic heading towards Frenchay to be in the middle lane. The old road sign at the end of the M32 slip road has not been updated and so directs Frenchay bound traffic into the left hand lane. Motorists obeying the road sign have a fraction of a second to realise they have been misled, are being filtered into Ikea/Muller Road, and either slam on the brakes or swerve into the Frenchay bound lane in front of traffic already in that lane, or coming in from the right. A serious accident someday is inevitable. Even if BCC can’t replace the old road sign at least they should remove it or cover it up.

I agree with all complaints about this dangerous junction. I avoid it completely! It takes me 10 mins longer to get home though

I also agree with this issue - I drive this route from the city centre to either Fishponds or Frenchay daily and the signs are hidden by trees or crossed out. People often use the wrong lanes leading to dangerous driving and those travelling across the roundabout in the direction of Muller Road block the entire roundabout in peak times - again leading to long delays at rush hour, frustrations and lane changing. The old signs and lack of yellow boxes on the roundabout is an accident waiting to happen - especially as it is even worse now it is dark in the evenings.
