Lots of very deep potholes on Park Street
Reported in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 16:28, Wed 6 November 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1834779.
There are a dozen or so potholes on Park Street. These were reported earlier in the year and were all marked on the road to be repaired. Only a handful were repaired and the ones left are now very deep. Will they be repaired any time soon? Potholes appear on Park Street frequently, would it be wise to consider relaying the road? I believe the top of the road was done a few years back but not the bottom. Unfortunately I am at work so unable to add photos right now

I agree that the lower half of Park Street needs to be resurfaced - the number of deep potholes means it is getting more and more unsafe for cyclists given that the road is also extremely steep. There is also lots of loose gravel on the surface of the road. Other roads in the immediate area in better condition have been resurfaced in recent times - this one should be a priority.

Is there any update on when the potholes will be repaired? They are huge and quite dangerous. Our house shakes when vehicles drive over them.
Am I also right in thinking contractors get paid a call out fee for each job? If so, they have already come out once but did not finish the job.

Had an email from the Highway Maintenance Officer rather than a reply to this thread:
''Dear Kyle,
Thank you for your enquiry regarding the carriageway defects along Park Street, Totterdown.
Your enquiry was passed to the Highway Maintenance Officer for investigation. Please see below his comments.
‘Multiple jobs have been raised. There is an issue with resurfacing the technicians consider the road too steep with health and safety concerns. We can only program in small repairs at present’.
Kind regards, Highways & Traffic''
Just wondering how was Park Street was originally tarmacked???
Also, still no update as to when the potholes will be filled. I have attached a few pictures to show how bad they are at present
