Tarmac surrounding large metal cover has disappeared cyclists at extreme risk

Large manhole cover has dropped and tarmac bedding has been broken up and lost. As the damage is close to the kerb cyclists are in extreme danger of having to move out into the traffic to avoid this wheel buckling hole.

I have been in this deep crevasse on my bike and I could have been killed due to a passing lorry. Thankfully I stopped and jumped off to the kerb. This is an absolute death trap and a disgrace that it isn’t fixed immediately!
