Flood has drained. Lots of mud and leaves left behind. One small culvert appears to have been the problem, blocked with leaves. This is a 10 metre long dip in this section of the Frome Valley Walkway, and there is no way around it due to the steep bank one side and wall on the other. It is used daily as a route for children travelling between Stapleton and Fishponds to schools. It needs better drainage or sweeping of leaves several times each autumn to prevent the culvert blocking. There are lots more leaves that will wash into this culvert with the next heavy rainfall. When flooded the water remains for several days.
