Fading Double Yellow Lines
Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 10:10, Mon 25 November 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1860603.
There is meant to be a parking restriction on the end of Kings Parade Avenue to allow vehicles to manoeuvre round the corner. Although there is a sign on the telegraph pole indicating an 'at any time' parking restriction, there is always a car parked in this space, and I believe cars are no longer being ticketed as they are using the faded double yellows as a defence. Please could you get these lines re-painted as it is making it increasingly difficult to gain access to the street (almost impossible if all of the other legal spaces are occupied). This has been a problem for over a year. I got the address of 'fixmystreet' after talking to a business resident of the street about the problem as they had previously reported the issue. Since their complaint the lines were touched up at the wrong end of the street and the problem they reported still continues. I spoke to them recently and they've said the problem of delivering goods has got so bad now that they are having to shut down their business.
