Sent to Bristol City Council 3 minutes later
Pavement kerb on the bridge has been gone well over a year. I reported a year ago and recently was sent an email to sat it has been resolved, it hasn't! It has actually become worse, with the collapse of the wall.
Kerb and pavement in a state! V.narrow anyway, kerb missing, pavement sloping and vegetation growing over the pavement. There is a very real risk that someone may lose their footing here and go straight under a HGV or car.
The bridge is not wide enough and needs replacing. Anyone in a wheelchair or someone with a pram would have to go in the road, which is single track and used by HGV's. It really does put the most vulnerable people at risk!
Unfortunately my photos do not show the state of the pavement very well, but they do demonstrate just how narrow and dangerous this bridge is, even if it had a well maintained pavement.
I think someone may have to die before this issue is resolved. Please take this seriously, the pavement needs repairing in the short term, and needs replacing in the long term.
I hope this is not dismissed again, if anyone is in any doubt I would happily show them the dangers of this bridge and its lack of maintenance.
A new enquiry has been raised for this issue.
