River Avon Trail

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category by W Duncan OGILVIE at 10:09, Thu 26 May 2011

Sent to Bristol City Council 1 minute later

1. I yesterday had a wonderful walk for 3 hours on the River Avon Trail from central Bristol nearly to Keynsham using my OS Explorer map 155 which shows a continuous footpath on the north side of the river including from the A4320 "Avon Bridge" to Netham lock. I found my way blocked at the bridge with no apparent signage of a diversion. Could you please investigate?

2. For some distance upstream from Conham River Park the path has been laid with coarse gravel making walking difficult and unpleasant -- and cycling probably very difficult. I suggest a small roller is used along this stretch to compact the gravel.
