Ref 1776470, inadequate drainage causing flooding at busy roundabout for cars and pedestrians
Reported in the Flooding category anonymously at 15:34, Sun 8 December 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1879479.
This issue has been going for years and has been reported many times, by different people. Contrary to an update on Fix My Street where it says the problem has been fixed, it hasn't. Today (8/12/19) has not seen much rain at all, yet within a very short time a large and deep puddle appears on the corner of South Road and Redland Road, in exactly the same place as it has done for years. The gully, which appears still to be blocked, is in the wrong place. It is not at the lowest point for effective surface water run off and consequently surface water forms a very large puddle in the dip, and then it runs down Zetland Road. Cars often have to swerve to avoid, causing danger to pedestrians. As stated previously, there are plans to upgrade the roundabout at the bottom of South Road, so surely this issue could be properly fixed at the same time.
