Hi, Hope you can help with a query. Recently there seems to be an increase in the quantity of heavy vehicles that are not complying with the 7.5t good vehicles limit through Hallen. Although there are signs just as you enter Hallen, there is no warning before entering Severn Road from the Avonmouth end. I notice that there is a new sign to alert drivers who will be leaving the new energy recovery centre that there is a limit “in half a mile if they turn left”, but nothing for drivers from Chittening Road. I have been advised by S Glos that although Hallen is partially in S Glos, the Chittening Road end is in Bristol - I hope you can help. Would it be possible to put a sign at the junction of Severn Road and Chittening Road, facing west, to give lorries the chance to divert before being “stuck” driving into the village? Something like a “7.5t limit in 1 mile”. Grateful if you can advise what is possible as I’d like to help the council to avoid the likely ongoing cost of road repairs.
