Fixed
Manhole clanging again.
Reported in the Carriageway Defect category by Richard Lanham at 14:00, Tue 24 December 2019
Sent to Bristol City Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1904674.
After 3 years of trying the manholes on Bedminster Road were “ fixed” by EWM. Not done properly as the farthest one from the junction was rattling like hell today, louder than before. It’s about time the Council realised that they are being taken as a cash cow and jobs aren’t being done or checked properly.

I should have said ETM not EWM. However, the manhole is still clanging and has sunk a little as they always seem to.

Whether it's here or just before, just after there is a MASSIVE pothole, manhole cover missing? to the point that the bang was so loud and jarring it knocked my lights out, not great at 06:00AM in the dark and wet, let's hope there is no damage to my car suspension

I noticed there was some work being done on the road around where the manhole covers are, (outside the library) I felt so relieved that they were finally being fixed after years of trying to get something done, big mistake! Not sure how they have managed it but it's now actually WORSE than before, I can now clearly hear the broken manhole cover from every room in my house. I guess the battle continues.

Had another call from resident at No.75, Bedminster road regarding the clanging drain. Mrs O'Brien would appreciate if someone could give her some indication as to when she can expect this to be fixed as this is really affecting her well-being through lack of sleep.

This is becoming intolerable. Clanging day and night. I'm seriously thinking of putting something around the manhole to block the traffic. How long dies it take this Council to sort out defects ?

The clanging is getting worse and worse. How the people in the houses right by it must be going mad.

There is so much road damage in Bristol I think the Council has lost control and are ignoring everything.

I walked past the four covers this morning and the noise with traffic going over was horrendous. How the people living next to this put up with it I don’t know. It’s a disgrace that this problem hasn’t been put right and been let go on for years.
