2 x 10 inch deep potholes

Reported in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 14:27, Thu 9 January 2020

Sent to Bristol City Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1928072.

2 x potholes in road that are very deep and affect steering on car on a narrow strip of road that means waiting for approaching cars to pass before pulling out around them. Located near double yellows after coming up Blackberry Hill just before the new build on Manor Road at what used to be known as Laundry Fields.

  • Hi, with reference to what has been reported today I have taken some damage to my vehicle in the way of a burst tyre and having to have my tracking realigned.

I was travelling along this road and at this exact spot at 18.15pm on 8/1/20. Due to on coming traffic I was forced into the nearside of the pavement due to parked cars on the other side of the road. I collided with the pothole and burst my tyre completely, luckily I wasn't too far from home. As reported nearby, this road has needed to be resurfaced for a while ( I can see from a nearby complaint this is not going to happen until the new builds are completed), which to be honest isn't acceptable, especially considering the extent of the repair bill I have now received.

I will upload some pictures taken last night from the incident and will also forward onto Bristol City Council.

I would appreciate if someone could also get in touch.
