Signs ignored at lights

Reported via Android in the Road Signage category anonymously at 09:09, Friday 10 January 2020

Sent to Bristol City Council 1 minute later

Cars are routinely ignoring the one way sign at the roundabout near the Peugeot garage, instead of all turning right up to the A4 direction as the arrow instructs, a great number are doing a slight left and going down Cattlemarket Road, where pedestrians are often crossing on the green man! I see this regularly.

  • Yes, saw a private taxi driver do it this morning & one before Xmas. Please could you issue a warning to licenced taxis not to do this. Pedestrians were crossing at the time. I have repeatedly brought this to your attention but nothing happens. I would be happy to stand there with one of you & guarantee we'll see someone do this within 10-15 mins!!. Call me....

  • Saw another car - big 4x4- do it this morning. So here's what I'm doing: taking screenbrabs of myself & others raising this issue, which never seems to get any attention, and when the time comes as it inevitably will when a pedestrian is knocked over, I will email them to the local media as an 'I told you so' exercise....my offer of meeting your representative there to witness drivers ignoring the rules still stands.....
