Speeding cars Mivart Street Easton Bristol

Mivart Street connects Bellevue Road to St Marks Road in Easton. Cars speed regularly down the Street in excess often of 40 miles per hour. This street is very narrow with cars parked both sides of the Street . We have young families in the street with young children and elderly residents that frankly are not safe. The street is used as shortcut run through to Stapleton Road to avoid using the lights at Robertson Road. Which means it is always very busy in peak working hours. The street is two way traffic at present which causes problems with cars meeting head on and having to reverse back the way the came which leads to angry drivers and bad unsafe driving. The limit is 20 mph nobody seems observe this limit ? Traffic calming is needed stop the access to Mivart st from Bellevue Rd to Mivart st ?? Speed bumps are needed . Best Regards Ian Vallin.

  • My earlier enquiry to my report of speeding cars in Mivart street Easton Bristol. Has not been responded to as yet. Or even been acknowledged as received by Bristol city council . This is a problem ! Why wait till someone is injured or worse . Please reply to this enquiry . Lots of my neighbours feel that traffic calming is needed desperately.   • Bristol city council doing a fine job of ignoring my complaint re speeding vehicles in Mivart Street , Easton, Bristol. Not even an acknowledgement that they have received my complaint. Yet they are proposing further rises to council tax charges again this year. I suppose we will have to wait until there’s a fatality before they act .
