Dear Bristol council I live on Glenfrome rd, Eastville and Unfortunately again there has been drain work again on our street, with no warning of work and a road closer. Its Sunday 12th January and Glenfrome rd has had work on our road and drains many time now, in the last few years , which has brought us many problems and has been very badly organised. I understand that work has to take place on this road, what I dont understand is giving us no notice and telling us to move our cars and park somewhere else, when we have six disabled people on this stress. I also dont understand that closing the road (not properly - putting a sign right in the middle part of the road on the pavement with no other signs and not actually blocking the road off, which means cars keep coming all the way down the street, meaning they have to awkwardly turn round) with no notice before hand, which means residents walking out there door in the morning and realising they have to cancel their plans all day, especially when they have a party to entertain on this street, and also the fact that when they want to ask the workers if they can move off the street and come back finding them asleep in there vans and only do work for a short time then back sitting/sleeping in their vans. We all understand that work needs to be done, but for this number of times on a main street and with it badly organised and no notice on a sunday when people need to get places before going back to work. This whole street is very displeased with these badly organised and no notice work. If you could just organise the work better and give us proper notice on where and when is the work and of we can drive off and back to the street and also where we can park. Even by emailing. We would greatly appreciate it as we are all getting at our wits end about these different events. Thank You.
