Wait times too long on Pelican crossing

Reported in the Traffic lights category anonymously at 16:24, Mon 20 January 2020

Sent to Bristol City Council 3 minutes later

The wait times for pedestrians wanting to cross the Ashley Down Road (at the point highlighted) are too long, favouring traffic too much. It gets to the point where cars not even in sight can get through the lights before they change. The balance needs shifting. It's too in favour for road users travelling along the AshleyDown Road.

  • In this new age of social distancing, the excessive waiting time means that pedestrians are bunched together waiting for the lights to change while a trickle of motorists drive through. Too much priority is given to motorists-why is this?
