Aldi sewage leaking onto pavement

Reported via Android in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 09:06, Monday 27 January 2020

Sent to Bristol City Council 6 minutes later

The sewage (incluing solids and toilet paper) from Aldi was spewing out of the mini service cover and over the pavement this week. They had Dyno rod out to fix it, but this is not the first time we have had to walk through excrement etc from Aldi's store. I think their drainage probably needs a bigger fix to ensure this doesn't happen again.

  • We've referred the issue externally for appropriate action to be taken, as it's not something Bristol City Council is responsible for.

  • I contacted Wessex Water and they say they have investigated this problem and there is no problem with their infrastructure. So if it is not Wessex Water's problem or Bristol City Council's, is it Aldi's problem and can the Council enforce a proper investigation and remedial works on Aldi?
