Utility ironwork cover missing causing dangerous hole on pavement/cycle track
Reported in the Utlility Covers category anonymously at 20:49, Mon 3 February 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1977347.
This utility ironwork is missing a cover, or has been insufficiently filled following the removal of the cover. It has created a dangerous hole in the pavement. This is on the cycle track section of the pavement and today I was thrown off of my bike when hitting this. It appears flat from one direction and you can only see the hole looking the other way. Unfortunately I only noticed this once I had hit the floor. I have badly hurt my knee and my new bike is damaged. This is so dangerous, both cyclists and pedestrians are at risk because this is such a popular route. Please resolve this ASAP and I would like to know your compensation process for the damage it has caused to my bike.

Hi, I am still awaiting an update on this report. I can see that the iron work has now been highlighted with spray paint, but no action has ensued. Please can you provide me an update. I also sought compensation information for the damage to my bike. Kind regards.
