Hit my wheel around 5.15pm on the 18/02/20 straight away I could feel my tyre had gone flat but actually was both front and back passenger side wheels had shattered and damaged beyond repair ( van currently in the garage to see if any suspension or other problems may have occurred ) due to the depth of the hole being at least 5in deep this pot hole was full of water therefore I did not see it it’s straight after a bend on a busy road where I then spent 2hrs waiting for a breakdown truck in the cold and wet during rush hour trucks lorries and vans beeping and having to over take this left me in a extremely vulnerable position this could have been avoided had there been some signs or fencing around considering you have had this reported before it after reporting to the police they still didn’t arrive until an hour after who then cornered it of
Another young man did the exact same thing 20 mins after me who luckily got away with just a puncture we think this could have easily turned into a collision as I lost all control of my vehicle
I feel the council are liable as it’s your duty to repair the roads isn’t this what road tax is for? Our vehicles have to be fit to be on the road but your roads are not fit for our vehicles
Can you please contact me with the relevant department to make a claim for the damage
