Hazardous material. (Asbestos)
Reported anonymously at 09:33, Fri 21 February 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2012464.
At rear garden border hedge of 82 Washing Pound Lane there are sheets of corrugated roofing. These may be made of or contain asbestos and could be a health hazard. They may of been there for years but only recently exposed when a hedge trimmer (on a tractor) had cut back the overgrowth. Therefore the owners may not be aware.

I would like to amend the address. It is at the rear of 85 Washing Pound Lane and not, as reported, 82 Washing Pound Lane. This is also near the junction of Maggs Lane, Whitchurch.

The sheets are still there. Someone, with asbestos knowledge, just needs to make a safety assessment please.

Why do you keep asking? I have just had to break the 'stay at home rules' to check and warn other pedestrians. All I am asking is for someone to prove me right or wrong and proceed.

I give up. Someone from the council needs to visit and decide if it a matter for them or the property owner. The asbestos sheets can be seen under the exposed roots of the bush bordering Washing Pound Lane. If you are not interested then close this report.
