Fence in poor state of repair at boundary with 158 Eastfield Road, BS9 4AT
Reported in the General Highways Enquiry category anonymously at 12:12, Sun 23 February 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2016050.
This fence was reported back in August 2017 to the council as being in a poor state of repair and needing replacement. It was "fixed" in Spring 2018 but continues to be in a poor state of repair, with rotten areas, and the vertical struts continue not to be securely attached at the bases in many areas. In the recent high winds it has started to fall down, and we are having to prop it up on the householders side of the fence to stop it falling down entirely. It is clear it is now at the end of its life and needs replacement rather than another temporary fix.

This was reported in February and is still not resolved. We are still having to prop the fence up and have had to tie some parts up with rope to stop it falling into our garden. This is a hazard and it is dangerous trying to maintain our garden in this area. It requires urgent attention and it is very disappointing that nothing has been done since it was reported 3 months ago.

These pictures show the rotten sections of the fence. It is clear that the fix from 2018 was ineffective as the fence is no longer attached to the new uprights. There is a further section which we have had to support by propping up in our garden and tying a rope around but I cannot access this section to photograph at the moment. The fence needs urgent repair.
