New tree no drainage

New tree - great. Problem is the hole it’s in I ant draining. It’s been full of water since planting & will drown! Yes there’s been a lot of rain but it’s clearly not clearing. Would be such a shame if this does happen as more greenery is really appreciated.

Updates

  • Will need to add some sort of drainage to hole. Water is starting to smell as it can’t get out.

  • Tree still waterlogged. Other planting on opposite side of road looks healthy. ATM it’s not looking ‘happy’ this will only be solved by sorting drainage in planting hole, not just another tree.

  • Tree’s alive but not looking ‘happy’. Can’t see it thriving if it’s always waterlogged. Some leaves but compared to partner on other side of the road - struggling. Needs taking out, drainage sorting then replacing.

  • Healthy looking tree on Opposite side of junction. Sickly tree is still alive. If you act now you might save it & save the cost of a new tree!
