Previous cosmetic repair just filled in the depression, Tarmac laid on top of cover to stop the noise made by the cover as it was rocked by traffic has all gone. Needs proper repair, cover and surround need to be lifted and supporting brick work raised so that cover sits level with the road surface.

Congratulations. At last a proper repair! The manhole surround has been raised so that the cover is level with the roadway. A pity that, whilst the traffic was reduced to one lane, the damaged road surface just a meter up the road was not repaired at the same time. It took a lot of manpower to set up temporary lights and full advantage of this was not taken.

    State changed to: Fixed
