Sunken reinstatement
Reported anonymously at 17:14, Mon 9 March 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2050696.
Corner of Brent Road and Muller Road.. A month or so ago a number of holes were excavated from Ralph Road up to Brent Road (and possibly beyond). They looked like trial holes to locate u/g services. They were subsequently backfilled and a (hopefully) temporary reinstatement of the road surface was applied. The approx 1sqm hole at the corner of Brent Road and Muller Road is right in the wheeltrack for anything turning left out of Brent Road and it has subsided by perhaps 150mm due to lack of compaction.

Still getting worse. I have witnessed an ambulance on a blue light call heading at speed towards Southmead A&E having to slow to 20mph to negotiate this hazard. With traffic so light in the present crisis this could be repaired in the daytime.

Ooops! My last update above in fact referred to a large depression in Muller Road south of the Downend Road junction which has mysteriously been declared "non-urgent" by BCC.

Yes, this was fixed a couple of weeks back, possibly more, and they have done a good job of it. All done within a reasonable overall timescale for the severity of the defect and in the difficult times we are going through.
