Retaining wall collapsed, risk of further landslip to properties below
Reported in the Retaining Wall category anonymously at 09:45, Tue 10 March 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 2051824.
Retaining wall for property behind 91 troopers hill road has had a bulge in it for years, but has now collapsed through excessive rain. There is a footpath running behind our properties which is now blocked with rubble. More concerned that the garden of 76 Fir Tree Lane is now not retained so risk of further slippage into our gardens, and the remaining wall will be much less stable and liable to further collapse which will cause considerable damage to properties and danger to anyone in their gardens.

We are the residents of 76 Fir Tree Lane, and have seen the landslip and collapsed wall, and are concerned about further collapse.
We do not believe that the wall is part of our property, as the border runs along our hedge.
The wall was built when the hill was excavated to build the houses in Troopers Hill Road, and was built by the developers of the houses. We therefore believe the wall forms part of the alley way, and is the responsibility of whoever owns that alley.
It is true to say it's poorly built and has not looked in shape for years.

Is anything being done about this? 4 months later and no news at all. 5 properties are still unable to use the rear access to their gardens and we need to know when this will be dealt with please.
