Park's dangerous gateway onto pavement-free road

Reported in the Parks/landscapes category anonymously at 21:20, Fri 22 May 2020

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

The Canynge Square park's south-west gateway has a gate that needs to spring closed to minimise the risk of children's deaths when leaving the park through the thick hedge onto the pavement-free road.

Updates

  • Considerable risk to children who play in the park. Both the park and the road are the responsibility of the city.

  • Still no action by the City despite it "owning" both the park and the road.

If it were a City-owned house door opening directly onto a public road, I am confident that the City would improve its safety.
