Excavated pavement unfinished - hazard for pedestrians and any wheels
Reported in the Obstruction category anonymously at 16:26, Tue 2 June 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2139556.
As part of long-running development of 533/533A Southmead Road / 1a Felstead Road, pavement was excavated by the developers in early 2019 and has been left open ever since (without there every being any barriers). It means a hazard for people walking, impassable for any buggy or scooter and dangerous for bicycles, especially when sand and rocks get wet. People witnessed having to travel into the road to get past. Likely connected to new planning application (to convert oversized garage erected on site during development of 533A and 1A) into new housing. Pavement further damaged by heavy duty delivery vehicles with building materials for those developments.
