Very large/deep pothole on Whitchurch Lane opposite Belland Drive
Reported in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 11:20, Mon 15 June 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2156240.
This pothole has been here since February when another person reported it on 10th February. BCC reported it as 'under investigation' on 17th February and on 25th February reported as 'we will be in touch with an update'. Nothing was done about the pothole. On 6th March a citizen provided a follow up to the original enquiry and on 31st May a citizen posted a picture as a follow up - still nothing done and the pothole is getting worse. This pothole is attached to the side of a speed hump on Whitchurch Lane opposite Belland Drive heading towards Fortfield Road just after the crossing. I drove over it yesterday and BANG - I get home to find my tyre is flat and despite several tries at pumping it up, it just goes flat again and my wheel is damaged so there is now going to be a hefty bill heading to Bristol City Council for damage to my wheel and tyre. You can see by the 2nd picture there is a piece of steel sticking out. How long before its going to be sorted out considering its been there for approx 4 months already.
