Overgrown hedges and trees on this narrow strip ARE the responsibility of the Council.
Reported in the Obstruction category anonymously at 14:43, Tue 16 June 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2158502.
I reported to Fix My Street about this problem some days ago. The pavement is almost impassable due to overgrown hedges and trees. The Council reported back to me that it was not their responsibility. I have checked with Red Maids School, who own the adjacent land. They tell me this narrow strip of land alongside the pavement is the responsibility of BCC and that Bristol City Council did in fact do some trimming on the hedges a few years ago. Meanwhile, parts of the pavement are impassable for anyone with a wheelchair or pushchair and even a person of average average height has to stoop in places to pass.
