Problematic parking outside of access gate
Reported in the Obstruction category anonymously at 09:05, Thu 2 July 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2182174.
Have reported problems with obstructive parking outside of the access gates (gate 3) to St Philips Marsh train maintenance depot. A request was made for consideration to be given to paint double yellow lines from gate 3 down to the roundabout for KFC which should deter people from parking as per photo of minibus. These gates are in constant use and it is frustrating having to ask people to move all the time. also, it is very dangerous with the traffic using the access road to go to KFC as it forces vehicles to move into the oncoming traffic lane. As there is a car park so near by, perhaps a car park sign could be added to point drivers in the direction of better, safer parking

Drivers are still deciding that this is a good place to stop, causing disruption to traffic using this route to the KFC and to the access gates to the train maintenance depot. Uncomfortable conversations have ensued when these obstructive drivers have been asked to relocate to a more sensible parking place.

Problem still exists with drivers thinking this is a good place to take a break. Will it take an accident before this issue is resolved as parked vehicle both obstructs an access gate and plays havoc with vehicles accessing the KFC car park and showcase cinema parking.
