Cycle arrow point towards zebra crossing
Reported in the Road Signage category anonymously at 14:53, Sun 12 July 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2196680.
2160905 Cycle icon with arrow pointing towards the zebra crossing, this encourages cyclists to cycle straight across the zebra crossing without dismounting. Cyclists fly out from the cycle path straight into the zebra crossing and motorist do not have time to stop. Rule 79 Of the Highway Code states “ Do not ride across a pelican, puffin or zebra crossing. Dismount and wheel your cycle across.” This has automatically been closed don’t know why council is disregarding the Highway Code and no update has been provided to myself.
