Inadequate road drainage leads to flooding of industrial units
Reported in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 12:44, Thu 30 July 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2223465.
Portview Road is slightly higher than the service yard for Units 10-13 Avon Gorge Industrial Estate, BS11 9LQ. The roadway also slopes towards service yard from both directions. When there is a flash rain storm, usually in the Summer, water from Portview Road runs over the existing, inadequate drain grids and collects in our service yard, which is lower than the roadway. This has led to the flooding of our business units. Is it possible either to fit an additional grid at the gates, or to install a 'speed hump' across the entrance to the service yard, to prevent further floods, please?
