Road collapsing in front of Bus Stop(Muller Road Top)
Reported in the Carriageway Defect category anonymously at 16:11, Thu 13 August 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2244075.
This is a very long term problem. It would appear that it is the result of the collapse of a trench dug out, more than a year ago so that a large diameter drain pipe could be replaced. Possibly because the concrete pipe has been broken by the 12 tonne weight of the many buses that travel over it every day.

This is a long standing problem. I reported it more than a year ago and a cosmetic repair was made at one end. The major depression was not attended to. This time the defect has been surveyed, a man in a van spent some looking at it a couple of days after I reported it. This is a serious fault. I believe that a concrete pipe has collapsed, dropping the road surface and blocking the rain water drainage. Cyclists are put in danger AND passengers on buses getting off at this stop are thrown about as the bus drops into the gulley.

Another temporary repair has been made. Soft tarmac has been laid in the deep depression, This time along the its full length. It won't last long.
