Bishopthorpe Lane (not Bishopthorpe Road) Drain Damaged & Blocked
Reported in the Gully/Drainage category by Stuart Taylor at 17:13, Fri 14 August 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2245909.
This drain has been broken and is full of crap. It was repaired between 5 and 10 years ago but they chose to use a plastic grill instead of the original metal type, which lasted less than a year before it began to crack and fall apart. Over the years we've been clearing up pieces of it as it broke apart.
The main sewer/street drains that it runs into have been flushed through by Wessex Water 4 times over the past 10 years, and they always tell me that this damaged gully is a huge contributory factor to the sewer blockages.
The arrow placement is not exact on the map probably because the Bishopthorpe Lane was only named about 6 or 7 years ago.
