Vandalised tree planting

Reported in the Trees category by John Norfolk at 15:04, Tue 18 August 2020

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

Last year new trees were planted, and carefully staked up on the grass verge on the opposite side of the road to the bus stop. This week one of those trees, fully 20 feet tall has been bent over against its stake support and snapped. This is unforgivable vandalism against which we residents must show zero tolerance. Please replace and consider targeting one of the CCTV cameras in this area to protect the remaining dozen trees.

Updates

  • This tree - so carefully planted and staked for protection - is STILL there with a fatal fracture caused by vandalism At a time when local residents are showing pride in the environment by clearing and planting flowerbeds by nearby shops I regard this as woeful BCC neglect. We should have zero tolerance of this vandalism
