Dangerous flooding on bend of entrance to vale lane

Reported in the Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 08:49, Wednesday 19 August 2020

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

Every time we have heavy or any long periods of rain we get flooding on the bend. The water runs like a stream down the lane or track connecting Vale lane and Ilchester road, so i imagine the drains are blocked and cant cope. My main concern is this is a accident waiting to happen! The cars come round this bend so fast on the wrong, often cutting the corner and on the wrong side of the road. There was 3 little girls on bikes yesterday who couldn't cross the road because of this hazard, if a car come at speed then i have no doubt we would have had a serious accident. This is situated outside my factory and we have had this problem for the best part of 10 years. In my opinion the drains need clearing or improving, but they are often covered or blocked from debris brought down the dirt track up the side of my factory, so it will only happen again. I am wondering if we could change the surface of the track to avoid this happening in the furture?
