Gravel and stones on Bell Barn Road causing safety hazard
Reported in the General Highways Enquiry category anonymously at 11:42, Fri 21 August 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2256545.
Each time there is a heavy rainfall gravel and stones are washed down from the un-adopted Cheyne Road onto the carriageway of Bell Barn Road casing a safety hazard for cars and cycles and potential blockage for the adjacent drain(see photo)
The problem emanates from the un-adopted Cheyne Road which is in terrible state of repair. If the lower 70 metres were tarmaced this problem would, to a large extend be resolved .
I am therefore suggesting that the City Highways/ City Council write to all residents of Cheyne telling them that the problem must be resolved or that action will be taken and charged to the residents who could, for reasonable shared cost, resolve the problem themselves as it not affects Bell Barn but Council and Emergency traffic and pedestrians which needs to access Cheyne.
