Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

We have a massive problem with very large trees on the estate . We pay council tax but trees don’t get maintained ever. Someone could have been seriously hurt or killed to night as two walls collapsed and it is clear if Estates Officers where visiting the estates from time to time this could have been highlighted and avoided. The council refuse to act on reports and ignore tenants reports but continue to collect Council Tax from all every month year in and year out. It is only a matter of time before one of these huge trees uproot foundations or blow over on to homes on the estate as they have never been cut back or pruned. There are other trees very close to properties on the estate and the same thing will happen again if no action is taken. Please can urgent works be carried out on all trees before properties are damaged and or some gets serous hurt or killed. Thank you

Updates

  • We have been told in the passed when reporting issues with these very large trees by Bristol City council workers we have to maintain trees ourself ??? Even though they where all planted by Bristol City Council Years ago Mostly before most of us moved in to the street.

We Do not have skills to do such works Most people do not own equipment to tend to trees Or even own a ladder or PPE We Don’t have any ideal how to do this safety.

We worked out one tenant would have given Bristol City Council over £70,000 in Council Tax over 5 years. Why can’t some of the money help to maintain the estate ? But yet Bristol City ignore problems with trees on the estate for years now. A innocent person or child playing on the pavement could have lost they life tonight and this could have been avoided like the wall on Warwick Rd which is an accident waiting to happen. Please take action now Thank you
