Uneven pavement slabs on Nelson street outside convenience store
Reported in the Pavement Defect category anonymously at 10:15, Sun 30 August 2020
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2267825.
I walk from the NCP car park into the city centre every day for work and for the past few weeks I have noticed the paving slabs on the street outside a convenience type store are uneven (see picture). On my way through my usual route on Wednesday 26th August 2020, I actually tripped on the raised picture slab and fell to the floor. Luckily a nearby builder rushed to help me up and told me himself that he had tripped over the same slab days previously. The fall resulted in injury to myself (pictured). My hand and wrist are swollen and bruised where i put my hand down to stop myself and my leg is so swollen and bruised that I cannot even touch it. This is clearly a VERY dangerous issue on the footpath and I hope to be contacted by the council after this complaint to discuss my injuries. I have more pictures of both the placing of the slab and my injuries (however the limit to this complaint is three), along with contact details of the builder who saw and helped me. I look forward to being contacted and seeing this issue corrected so nobody else finds themselves in the same position.
