100mm depression at road edge for over 3m length, at point of dropped kerb, entrance to Bradfords Building Supplies (formerly Ashmead BS)

Reported in the Carriageway Defect category by Mark Watson at 16:09, Tue 1 September 2020

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later

The tarmacadam has compressed along the road section against the dropped kerb section of the cross over access to Bradfords Building Supplies, and the depression is up to 100mm from the gradient line. This depression is resulting in greater wear to vehicles, and will ultimately lead to vehicle damage, which can be claimed against Highways. This situation has developed since the resurfacing a couple of years ago, and may indicate insufficient preparation of the underlying stratum.
